Ok, so I have a window unit in my room, but my car AC doesn’t work right now. When I drive sometimes I feel like I begin to settle in my own pool of sweat and hotness. It’s not really that pleasant. I definitely am not complaining because everything else is wonderful: my car is running, I have the means to keep it running, I have AC when I sleep and the means to make it happen. So truly, no complaints here. Just saying, it’s unpleasant.

But the silver (shower curtain) lining to that cloud is–surprise, surprise–my shower. The cold, cold water in the heat of the summer is nothing short of refreshing and fabulous. Now my roommate and I have different tastes when it comes to decorating, but we can agree that, because our bathroom walls came lime green, there’s no use in adjusting the bathroom to our tastes, but we adjust our tastes to the bathroom. There’s talk of embroidered shower curtains to balance the bold green with some elegance; or perhaps the ever-tasteful tropical shower curtain. Sometimes we let our minds get carried away into the land of polka-dot shower curtains. I mean really, who’s to argue?!

When it comes to shower curtains, no rules, just right.

As a little girl, I loved horses. I mean, loved them. Alas, I grew up smack in the middle of the city with no nearby stables. For years I settled for summer horse camp and Breyer horses. Occasionally, too, I would pretend the bike I was riding was a horse. But that’s another story.

Who knew my dreams could infiltrate more of my life by having a horse shower curtain? I definitely didn’t. That’s why I’m here; to pass on the wisdom so more little girls and boys can dream about their lives side-by-side with their very own horse. Any awesome parent would want their kid to be happy. Right?

Trends come and go. Some might say following and participating in trends is a sell-out move or just a waste of money. We live in a fast-paced culture with the “hot” colors, patterns, and textures flowing in one way and out the other. But, you know, trends give outsiders a glimpse of the inner culture, whether from another country or looking back in history.

Either way, trends are fun!

This is a time when we here at My Unique Shower Curtains will be spotting a trend and giving a little decorating advice. You can be the designer with a custom shower curtain.

The eclectic trend is one where the only rule is that there are no rules! Chose a color palette and go wild with different patterns and textures. You might choose your shower curtain to be a solid, bold statement and add some excitement with other bathroom accessories. For instance, the combination of items above with a monogrammed shower curtain would make a bold and classic statement. You could even mix plaid and polka dots! No rules!

Some people have multiple bathrooms. One common scenario would be that the parents would share a bathroom while the kids would share another. What is likely to come from with bathroom situation is the need for a shower curtain that will not only go along with the overall decor of the room but also the style preferences of both parties.

In walks the idea of unisex shower curtains (article here). It may be tough for a design to be considered more feminine or masculine but all in all there can be compromise. Fortunately at My Unique Shower Curtains we have designs that are good example of being unisex. The good thing about being a sports fan is that regards of the time of year, there is always something to watch! Even with March Madness over, there are a crazy amount of baseball games to take in as well as the NBA Playoffs just around the corner. We would be crazy as a unique shower curtains store not to offer sports teams shower curtains. If we are crazy, it is not because of that!

Unfortunately there are labor talks going on in two of the major sports these days. Both the NFL and NBA have questions about whether or not the next season will take place. Unfortunately things can get divisive pretty quickly when there is plenty of money at stake.

Although we would typically think that our current shower setup has only been around for a relatively short amount of time but it is not entirely the case. According to Wikipedia, the history of what we would call a shower goes back to the Egyptians many years ago. We have come quite a long way since then as they had their water carried in as opposed to our sweet running water setup today.

With modern showers come contemporary shower curtains and these are also products we can appreciate. There have been a lot of designs that fall between this gap as well, one of the notable shower curtain designs would be polka dot shower curtains. Well I do not know about you but I’m thankful both for running water and for the shower setup we have today!

With the price of oil these days it really makes a person double check each time they go out on the road. My mind takes me back and wonders how it must have been in the good ol’ days of John Wayne when the majority of travel was on horseback or something equivalent.

We actually have some western shower curtains in our store if that has struck a chord with you. Now when I say western I mean not the western part of the world we are in but the meaning of western as in the frontier, True Grit type of stuff. Spring has sprung so I know some of you may be in the beach type of mode, which is why there are also Hawaiian shower curtains available as well.

We love shower curtains here at My Unique Shower Curtains, we believe that they can light up an entire bathroom and change the whole experience. But like any good thing in life, it can be a source of joy or of anxiety for some. Although this is a rare situation to our knowledge, we did recently hear of a person having an issue with a closed shower curtain scaring them.

According to a recent Collegiate Times article, apparently the author had seen the move Psycho one too many times and now finds himself uneasy when the shower curtain is closed, leading him to check around to make sure everything is alright. We definitely have a solution for even the rarest of shower curtain needs! If a croscill shower curtain doesn’t do the trick for him, then one of our novelty shower curtains will have a nice balance of a nice design but will be see-through enough for peace of mind!

Being versatile can fulfill numerous needs and as long as the product or person is not simply mediocre at multiple things, it’s pretty flipping sweet.
