here is the way commerce works: businesses carry and move a moderate amount of product throughout the year, never really igniting sales, until the day after thanksgiving, better known as black friday; and for us online stores, the transition happens on cyber monday. This brings in the coveted 4th quarter where companies finally get out of the red and swing into the black making their annual profit. It is also during the 4th quarter where people start buying loads of holiday decorations. from christmas lights, to sleds, to chrimstmas shower curtains, late november is when people pick them up.
But a savvy gift buyer, I mean the kind that are truly froogle, know that buying early and buying on sale is the way to maximize gift potential and to keep the awesomenes rolling. For that reason, I promote the buying of holiday memorabilia as early as January. That way, you and your friends will save money, gather the products you like the most, and come Christmas, while everyone else is frantically running around like goons, you and your crew can sit back and sip some egg-nog.
