Being on the Northwest Coast I can’t help but notice the how mother nature influences design and architecture all around me. From hotels to homes, this culture is riddled with Indian influences that tie in with simple and natural forms and materials.
In the interiors, I am noticing that the earth is the palate and the landscape is the inspiration. From the evergreen tree, to the earthy brown waters that make up the lakes, I am finding that Green tones and neutral colors are dominate.
For a traditional beach themed bathroom, I would suggest a beach shower curtain, but for a Northestern beach bathroom, a coastal shower curtain that is reminiscent to the unique scenery here would complete your decor.
The coast in the Northwest is made up of Mountains, evergreens, and asymmetrical waterfront architecture, much different than the South Eastern coast that I am used to in Florida. Also, you will find the sea scapes of the northwest to be more nautical than beachy. This can open up your ideas to nautical shower curtains as well.
Hopefully when you think of a beach themed bathroom your mind isn’t limited to one kind of beach…think of all the coasts there are and you taste and you could pretty much create a custom coastal room with a little creativity!
