The European shower door is today’s eiffel shower curtain for showers. I have frequented hotels all over the country, from holes in the wall outside of Memphis, to the luxury suites of the Belagio and Venetian in Las Vegas.
For two years, I installed European glass shower doors. What I learned is that they cost a ton of money, some ranging upwards toward, $5,000. And for all the money, they are not without problems. The soap scum that emerges on these beauties is terrible! Forget for a week to regularly wipe down the door and it will have an irrevocable effect & the door will be ruined. A year later, the silicone surrounding the door will collect mold, and soon peal. Disguising. Finally, the glass inevitably shifts and becomes dangerous; like a raging horse shower curtain.
The opposite of that is the fabric shower curtain. It does not afford that translucent space like the door; but adding a curved shower curtain rod definitely helps. With a price tag rarely above $50, the difference in costs is night and day. My verdict, go with the novelty fabric shower curtain
