A trip to the Northwest has opened my eyes to the Indian heritage in America. Being from Cincinnati, OH the native american indian culture is but a shadow of what it once was. One company in particular in the Northwest that embraces this heritage is Pendleton, a woolen mill. Their wool blankets embody the color and design preferences of local and Southwest Native Americans.
As I was browsing the blankets, I thought that a southwestern shower curtain with the same patterns would complete a southwestern themed bathroom, and could serve as the focal point.
To encompass the Southwestern style one must look to vivid colors and intricate patterns. Use the native patterns as your inspirations.
