Tinker Bell Princess Shower Curtain

For the Disney fan that loves the magical happily ever ending a princess shower curtain may just the right kind of gift. I know that when I was growing up, I loved anything that remotely resembled ‘royalty’ as I knew that my destiny was to be a princess when I grew up.

One princess in particular that usually gets over looked is Tinker Bell. Though not a real princess in the formal regard she is in the same category as the Disney Princesses that precede her. She has her own story that unfolds and a mission to find her true place in life. As she discovers her destiny, the whole world discovers her beauty, and she becomes the fairy that she was meant to be. Her story is like many of the other Disney princesses.

With a bathroom decorated with Disney accessories and a Tinker Bell shower curtain, your little one, or you for that matter, can escape into a magical journey every time you take a shower. Let bath time be the time to practice using your fairy dust and your bathroom be called Pixie Hollow. Let you imagination soar!

Princess Themed Bathrooms for your Daughters

Growing up, my sister and I shared our own bathroom, and if you were like us, we spent a lot of time in it. Because it was ours, we could decorate it how we wanted, and because we had a guest bathroom, it didn’t matter how we decorated it. During that time, when I was about 5 and my sister 12, we didn’t have the availability of Disney themed decor that is popular today. So, we painted it pink and white and sponged some hearts for the border.

If I could go back in time, I would want to make my bathroom a fairy-tale wonderland. Starting with the walls, I would paint them shades of pink and rose and maybe even put up a Disney Princess themed border. For the toothbrush holder and soap dish I would pick only ones with my favorite princesses (Ariel and Cinderella) and would make sure my tooth brush had a princess on it as well. Towels would have pink and white designs, and the rugs would be pink too.

Because the shower curtain is the focal point in any bathroom I would pick one that was brightly colored and had pictures of princesses on it. Or I may have chosen a fun colored fabric shower curtain, with ruffles and frills to just add some texture to the whole room; keeping it girly as possible. How fun would it have been to walk into my bathroom everyday and see my best loved Disney characters, waiting for me to brush my hair, brush my teeth or better yet, take a shower with my princess shower curtain. I remember always dreading evening bath time, but with this decor, I would have loved it!

Now that I am a mother of a sweet little girl, I will be sure to consider the decor in her bathroom. Right now, we don’t have the luxury of a separate bathroom, but hey, maybe a little pink and princess wouldn’t hurt. With the economy the way it is and the stress of parenting, I could use a little fun in my day, why not start with the bathroom? Now I just have to convince my husband. )

Now that Spring has arrived it’s time to spruce up several rooms in our home. We often spend time changing the décor in our bedroom, livingroom, or kitchen, but why not spend a few minutes in our kids’ rooms or bathrooms? Repainting a room has long-been the quick and cheap fix for updating a room, but that often seems daunting in a bathroom when working around toilets, pedestal sinks, showers, and not to mention, time-consuming. Shower curtains on the other hand can be just the fix you’re looking for. Kids shower curtains can be very reasonably priced, starting out around $8 for this princess shower curtain. I know it may seem difficult to let our children have the run at decorating the bathroom, but this can be a fun way to get them involved in Spring cleaning. Assign them some kid-friendly tasks around the house (cleaning their room, dusting, taking out the trash, sorting through old clothes, etc.) and then reward them with their choice of a shower curtain and theme for their bathroom. And don’t just stop there, often kids’ shower curtains have accompanying toothbrush holders and soap dispensers, like for this sports shower curtain and accessories. So let’s let our kids be kids and have a hand at decorating their bathroom in this fun and cheap way.
