When you really begin to explore for ways to decorate your home, some things are very easy to personalize and others seem to be pretty standardized. Until recent decades, fashionable home decor was just like fashionable clothing had been. a standard style that everyone wanted. Now your home and wardrobe can be furnished according to your personal tastes and expression in many more ways.

Until recently, unique shower curtains were not even an option, and even now the diversity seems to fall along genres like horse or beach shower curtains. We want to see this branch out even more, not because we don’t like themed shower curtains, but because we want to see even more diversity and customization available for everyone. We want to see the boundaries pushed, because we have homes, just like you do, and we know that we really like to be able to express ourselves in their furnishing. We figure you do to!

Unique Shower Curtains vs Modern Shower Curtains

I recently went to a party at a friends art gallery. As a creative myself, I figured Id be at home but I quickly came to realize the difference between modern styles and what I consider to be a unique or perhaps the better word is crafty style.

The modern style is slick. Simple, with an eastern influence, the lines are flat, straight, geometrical. Minimalism speaks volume, balance is critical, every element is deeply considered and very important. I’m a big fan of the modern style and all the swag that comes with, and I specifically like the modern shower curtains.

However, I am not a modernist. With my head full of dread locks, and my need to question everything I am definitely post-modern in almost all regard. I appreciate the modern design but live in the world of functional. My husband and I joke that we would be best to live in a heated barn where we could build and create all day without limitations of space of cleanliness (but I must admit, I am kind of a clean freak).

Christmas Shower curtains post christmas

But a savvy gift buyer, I mean the kind that are truly froogle, know that buying early and buying on sale is the way to maximize gift potential and to keep the awesomenes rolling. For that reason, I promote the buying of holiday memorabilia as early as January. That way, you and your friends will save money, gather the products you like the most, and come Christmas, while everyone else is frantically running around like goons, you and your crew can sit back and sip some egg-nog. Jan Habraken, an industrial designer from the Netherlands, has a unique shower curtain for you.

While doing some market research this morning, I came across this designers’ work and it seems to be just the type of “unique” that we look for here at My Unique Shower Curtains.

You see, not only are his screen-printed plastic shower curtains unlike anything we’ve ever seen, they have function in mind as well.

My husband and I are getting ready to leave for a much needed retreat for a long weekend. We have decided to stay at a B&B in Kentucky’s Appalachia, and it’s surrounded by beautiful forests, hiking trails, and other scenic views. The pictures of the B&B show that we will be staying at a quaint country haven. I’m already picturing our bathroom being decorated with a simple country shower curtains like one of the ones pictured below. As you may already know, we love unique shower curtains, especially unique ones. Speaking of unique, of all the foods I love to eat, and there are many in that category, one of my favorites is sushi! Yummy rice mixed with an assortment of fish, vegetables, and seaweed paper are sure thing for a tasty treat. Recently, in my quest to gather all novelty shower curtains on earth, I came across a sushi shower curtain. How amazing!!! I love shower curtains and I love sushi. My world is complete.
